The Professional Lead Nurse will provide senior clinical, professional and strategic leadership across the Primary Care Inclusion Health Directorate. The post-holder will work in partnership with the Associate Director of Primary Care, Director of Nursing, Lead GPs and service managers to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centred care for people experiencing homelessness and health inclusion barriers. The post-holder will maintain a visible clinical presence and act as a professional role model, promoting compassionate, inclusive and evidence-based nursing practice across all Inclusion Health services. Clinical and Professional Leadership Provide professional and clinical leadership to all nursing staff across Inclusion Health services Deliver supervision and professional oversight to Senior Nurses, ACPs and Nurse Managers Strengthen nursing leadership capability and promote continuous professional development Ensure NMC registration, revalidation and professional standards are maintained Lead on professional conduct, performance concerns and fitness to practise issues in line with Trust policy Promote a culture of learning, quality improvement and compassionate leadership Governance, Risk and Quality Lead on clinical governance frameworks in partnership with the Associate Director and Clinical Leads Ensure CQC compliance, inspection readiness and continuous quality assurance Oversee complaints, incidents, serious incidents and learning processes Ensure action plans are implemented and learning is embedded across services Maintain and review risk registers and ensure risks are mitigated appropriately Lead clinical audits to ensure care is safe, effective and evidence-based Performance and Service Improvement Support delivery of performance, access and quality targets Develop and implement consistent operational policies and procedures Lead and support quality improvement programmes across Inclusion Health services Use data to monitor performance, identify trends and drive service improvement Co-chair the Inclusion Health Quality Assurance Group Support commissioners, ICBs and partners with service evaluation and reporting Workforce Planning and Safe Staffing Lead workforce planning, demand and capacity modelling and skill-mix development Support recruitment, retention, appraisal, supervision and training frameworks Ensure safe staffing levels and establishment reviews are maintained Support development of workforce pipelines including apprenticeships, preceptorships and international recruitment Ensure staff have access to appropriate CPD and training opportunities Promote a positive, supportive and inclusive working environment Service Development and Transformation Support delivery of the Inclusion Health workforce and operating model Contribute to business cases, service redesign and transformation programmes Support neighbourhood working and engagement with PCNs and local partners Work with commissioners to align services with future commissioning intentions Champion innovation, improvement and best practice across the directorate Leadership and Representation Act as a member of the Inclusion Health senior management team Deputise for the Associate Director at internal and external meetings when required Build strong partnerships with Trust, ICB, NHS England and external stakeholders Represent the nursing profession at local, regional and national forums Values, Standards and Patient Experience Uphold the NMC Code of Conduct and Trust values at all times Promote dignity, respect, equality and inclusion Support service user involvement and feedback Ensure infection prevention and control standards are met Promote high standards of patient experience and safety
