Role: Social Worker, Torbay
Salary: up to £42ph umb

Job Type: Long-term placement
Shifts: Mon - Fri (full time)
Benefits: Accommodation allowance - £150 per week

About the Role:

As a Social Worker, you will provide essential support to individuals and families facing a wide range of challenges. You'll assess needs, develop care plans, and work alongside multidisciplinary teams to safeguard vulnerable people and improve their quality of life.

This is a highly rewarding role where you will directly impact the wellbeing and safety of those you support. Key responsibilities include:

* Comprehensive Assessment: Conduct detailed assessments and risk evaluations for service users.

* Care Planning: Develop, implement, and review tailored support plans.

* Safeguarding: Ensure the protection of vulnerable children and adults.

* Advocacy: Support clients to access healthcare, housing, benefits, and community resources.

* Collaborative Working: Partner with healthcare professionals, local authorities, and voluntary organisations.

* Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely case notes in compliance with professional standards.

Who We Are Looking For:

* Education: Degree in Social Work (or equivalent).

* Licenses: Car Driver

* Experience: Minimum 3 years perm in statutory setting

* Skills: - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Strong case management and problem-solving ability. Resilience and empathy when working with complex cases.

* Collaborative Mindset: A proactive team player who values safeguarding and empowerment.

In line with the DFE new agency rules candidates must:

  • Have three years post-qualifying experience (PQE) in direct employment with an English local authority
  • Must not have left a permanent social work role in the past 6 months from a children's services department or a local authority within the South West region.
