Summary


Based in North London, the Finchley and Edgware Walk-In Centre’s are a modern, well-equipped NHS unscheduled care services operating 7 days a week within stand-alone community hospitals.

This is an exceptional opportunity for two experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioners to take leadership roles combining autonomous clinical practice with meaningful management responsibilities. You'll work within a supportive, collaborative multidisciplinary team that values evidence-based practice, innovation, and continuous professional development.

This role offers genuine scope to shape the future of urgent care delivery, mentor the next generation of practitioners, and make a lasting impact on patient care and service excellence.
• Lead a clinical team on a day-to-day basis, providing expert clinical knowledge while managing operational responsibilities including staff supervision, appraisals, and professional development.
• Deliver autonomous clinical care to adults and children (over 2 years) presenting with acute undifferentiated conditions and minor injuries using expert diagnostic skills.
• Independently prescribe and request/interpret X-rays within your professional competence.
• Ensure clinical governance, accurate record-keeping, and compliance with policies and mandatory training.
• Oversee clinical audits, develop clinical policies aligned with NICE guidance, and support implementation of evidence-based care.
• Supervise and teach trainee ACPs, junior staff, and students. Facilitate conflict and complaint resolution.
• Manage complex communications with staff and patients.
• Work flexible shifts including weekends and bank holidays, with occasional cross-cover at other sites.
