Maintain accurate record keeping consistent with legislation, policies and procedures in line with NMC Code of Conduct. Take responsibility for own continuing professional development and performance and maintain own portfolio in line with knowledge, skill framework. Ensure the information recorded on Trust clinical systems are accurately reflected on the ExtraMed bed management system for day-case patients if applicable to ward service requirements. Answer the telephone take referrals and deals with enquiries from hospital staff and the public concerning admission, transfer, discharge and review appointments of patients. Communicate in an efficient and effective manner with all staff, patients, visitors and external sources, identifying any problems and dealing with them in a tactful manner.
