Summary
We're looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our United Utilities team based in Warrington.
Location: Warrington - remote working available, with occasional travel to site and the office required
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (8:00am - 5:30pm). Some flexibility on hours is available if desired - just let us know when you speak to us.
We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.
What will you be responsible for?As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the United Utilities team, supporting the successful commercial delivery of a portfolio of wastewater and water infrastructure projects.
Your day to day will include:
-Managing the commercial and contractual delivery of projects from inception through to final account, including procurement, subcontract management and forecasting
-Accurately monitoring, forecasting and reporting project cost and value, including preparation of monthly cost/value reports and applications for payment
-Managing cashflow, risk, and profitability while ensuring compliance with NEC3/4 contracts and Kier commercial governance
-Providing commercial guidance and support to operational teams, including value maximisation, cost-control and procurement strategy
-Mentoring and developing junior commercial team members and working collaboratively with clients and stakeholders
What are we looking for?This role of Senior Quantity Surveyor is great for you if:
-You have experience in a similar role within construction, civils or utilities, ideally on framework contracts
-You have strong experience administering NEC contracts, including Target Cost contracts
-You hold a degree in Quantity Surveying and are working towards or have achieved professional membership
-You have excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office (experience with Oracle, Causeway or Aconex is an advantage)
-You hold a full driving licence
