STEM Graduate Teaching Assistant

Located in Westminster, London
Full-time | Long-term

Term-time only

£25,000–£30,000

Love STEM but want more than a lab, desk or data screen?

Ever thought about using your degree to change lives, not just numbers?

Ready to work in a Westminster school where science, maths and tech actually matter?

An exceptional secondary school in Westminster is looking for a high-calibre STEM Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their forward-thinking faculty. This is a school-based, long-term role designed for graduates in Science, Maths, Engineering or related STEM subjects who want meaningful, hands-on experience before progressing into teaching or educational leadership.

You’ll be working alongside expert teachers in Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Computing, supporting lessons, running interventions and helping students break through academic barriers. A large part of the role involves working 1:1 and in small groups, targeting misconceptions, boosting confidence and making complex concepts click.

You may also support students with additional learning needs, adapting explanations and using practical strategies to ensure every learner can access STEM subjects — making this role both intellectually stimulating and deeply rewarding.

Why this role stands out:

• Use your STEM degree in a high-impact, people-focused role
• Gain elite classroom experience in a respected Westminster school
• Work closely with high-achieving and aspiring STEM students
• Build outstanding foundations for PGCE, Schools Direct or salaried teacher training
• Competitive £25k–£30k (term-time only)

This school is known for its strong academic culture, excellent behaviour and investment in graduate development.

Ready to put your STEM skills to work where they matter most?

Send your CV and cover letter to Ryan at KPI Education and take the first step towards an inspiring career in education.
