Veterinary Surgeon – Part-Time, 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract
Peterborough | Up to £65,000 DOE (Pro Rata)

A small, friendly, RCVS-accredited veterinary practice in Peterborough is looking to recruit a Veterinary Surgeon to join the team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Vet seeking a supportive environment, a varied caseload, and an excellent work–life balance in a well-equipped practice with a loyal client base.

The Practice

The successful Veterinary Surgeon will be joining a welcoming and experienced team made up of:
• 2 Veterinary Surgeons
• 2 Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs)
• 1 Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA)
• 2 Client Care Assistants (CCAs)

The practice is modern and well-equipped, including:
• Digital X-ray
• Ultrasound with Doppler and cardiology software
• Endoscopy
• Fully equipped dental suite with dental X-ray

The practice has an established and loyal client base and consistently receives excellent client feedback.

The Role

This part-time Veterinary Surgeon role offers a varied caseload, making it suitable for vets with interests in surgery, medicine, or a mix of both.

• 3 days per week (ideally Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, but flexibility is available)
• 8:30am – 6:30pm
• 12-month fixed-term contract

Peterborough’s central location provides excellent transport links, including direct trains to London King’s Cross in just one hour, and easy access to nearby parks and countryside.
