TeacherActive Essex is currently recruiting passionate and qualified Nursery Practitioners to work within high-quality nurseries across Chelmsford. This is a full-time position, working 5 days per week, with shifts between 8:00am and 6:00pm. Flexibility is available around start and finish times to support a healthy work–life balance.

We are working closely with welcoming, well-established nursery settings that place a strong focus on child development, staff wellbeing and professional growth.

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities that support children’s learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). You will help create a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment where children can thrive.

The successful Nursery Practitioner will have:

• A relevant Early Years qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent)

  
  

• Sound knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework

  
  

• Previous experience working within a nursery or early years setting

  
  

• A caring, patient and enthusiastic approach to working with children

  
  

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

  
  

• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

  
  The role:

  • Full-time, 5 days per week

    
    

  • Working hours between 8:00am – 6:00pm (flexible shifts available)

    
    

  • Based in Chelmsford

    
    

  • Supporting children with learning, play, routines and personal care

    
    

  • Building strong relationships with children, parents and colleagues
