What does this Support Worker job involve?
Hours of Work:15 - 30 Hours Per Week - 09:00 - 16:00
The job role involves:
• Picking up local people who attend our services and driving them to the day service or to the community activity they are doing that day.
• Working with the group team leaders to support everyone to get involved in the activities of the day.
• The job role is very varied with no 2 days or weeks the same. One day you might work with an individual helping them with shopping and making appointments, the next day you may be taking a group rock climbing, bowling or gardening.
Am I the right person for this Support Worker job?
• Must be a car driver and car owner and be confident to drive to various locations around Hertfordshire and surrounding areas.
• You will be happy to work as part of a team and be willing to turn your hands to lots of different tasks and activities.
• The ability to work alone without direct supervision is also desired.
• Flexibility and a can do attitude as well as a desire to work with us towards a culture of acceptance and inclusivity, embracing everyone's unique skills is essential.
• Previous experience is not essential as full paid training is given.
• What you do need is enthusiasm, and a willingness to get stuck in.
• You will be friendly and approachable and a desire to support people to have a great life with excellent outcomes.
