About the Role:
Cheshire East Council is seeking a full time, experienced and motivated Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our innovative and supportive Occupational Therapy Service. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality care and providing clinical leadership within a forward-thinking team.
The post holder will be based in the East of the Council (Macclesfield, Wilmslow, Poynton and Knutsford) but there may be a necessity to travel to other bases in the Council. Cheshire East Council operates a ‘flexible and mobile’ working policy and hybrid working is available, with the main base being at Macclesfield Town Hall, with Hubs available within the community.
• You will provide clinical leadership and guidance to team members, supporting day-to-day decision-making and ensuring high standards of practice.
• You will offer expert advice on Care Act responsibilities, Disabled Facilities Grants, adaptations, safe moving and handling, and assistive technology.
• You will support colleagues with triage, assessments, and interventions for adults with physical, learning, or mental health needs impacting their independence.
• You will work collaboratively with health and social care partners to develop innovative solutions that maintain safety and independence for service users.
• You will contribute to training, supervision, and professional development, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
• You will maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation in line with Council policies and professional standards.

About you:
• HCPC registered Occupational Therapist with substantial experience in health and social care settings.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor, coach, and inspire others.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• A proactive, strengths-based approach to care and a sound understanding of a wide range of conditions and their impact on daily living.
• Confidence in working autonomously while promoting collaborative working across multi-disciplinary teams.
