Crynodeb
The Occupational Therapy Assistant on completion of training always continues to act under the guidance of a registered practitioner. The Occupational Therapy Assistant will support the delivery of interventions within Older Adult Mental Health services, working within the community and Day Treatment Team. The role focuses on promoting independence, wellbeing, and engagement in meaningful daily activities on a one to one basis and group setting. The service covers community patients in the Thurrock and Essex area. The successful candidate will also work as part of the Day Treatment Team in the Thurrock and Essex area, screening for groups and assisting with Cognitive Stimulation Therapy and Living Well With Dementia group. The Occupational Therapy Assistant will be supported with regular supervision, team meetings and opportunities for development attending the monthly CPD meeting.
