Location: Clacton-on-Sea
Pay: £140 to £232.56 per day
Start Date: Immediate start
Are you a qualified primary teacher or an experienced unqualified teacher with strong classroom experience?
Are you looking for a flexible role where you can pick and choose what days you work?
Do you enjoy creating engaging, supportive learning environments wherever you go?
I’m Dan, and I’ve been working closely with primary school settings for the past two years, supporting them with all aspects of their recruitment. I’m currently supporting a number of primary schools in Clacton-on-Sea and the surrounding areas who are looking for primary teachers on a supply basis. There will also be opportunities for longer-term work if this is something you’d be open to.
The primary teacher role will involve stepping into classes when regular staff are absent. This could be for daily sickness cover or longer-term absences such as maternity leave. You’ll deliver pre-set work, manage the classroom and keep learning on track, while adapting quickly to different schools, year groups and routines. It’s a flexible role that suits teachers who are confident, organised and comfortable working across a variety of settings.
The successful Primary Teacher will have:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or strong, relevant classroom experience
-
Confidence managing a classroom independently
-
Ability to deliver pre-set work and maintain routines
-
Flexibility to work across different schools and year groups
-
Strong behaviour management skills
-
Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one
In return, you can expect:
-
A dedicated team of consultants available 24/7 to support you through a straightforward onboarding process
-
Access to our Guaranteed Payment Scheme (T&Cs apply)
-
CPD courses and certificates through the My-Progression channel
-
Excellent rates of pay
-
TeacherActive Referral Scheme – earn up to £100 when you refer a friend (T&Cs apply)
-
PAYE pay, with tax and National Insurance handled correctly and no hidden charges
