We are seeking a well-organised and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our small office team. The role is primarily supportive, assisting colleagues with administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations across projects and daily office activities. The position is suitable for applicants who thrive in a fast-paced setting.
Duties:
Answer incoming calls, handle general queries, and direct issues to the appropriate team member.
Assist with preparation of job packs and documents for surveyors, engineers, or other team members.
Support the scheduling and programming of projects.
Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams as required.
Type and format specifications, reports, and correspondence for approval.
Notify owners or occupiers of planned projects when required.
Order project materials or supplies from suppliers under guidance.
Provide general administrative support across the business as needed.
Check documents and job packs for completeness before circulation.
Assist team members with maintaining accurate records and files.
Experience:
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
Ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively under pressure.
Confident and professional telephone manner.
High level of computer literacy (Microsoft Office suite).
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Team-oriented with a helpful, supportive attitude.
Previous experience in construction, engineering, or electrical projects is advantageous but not essential.
