Our client is looking to recruit for a proactive and detail driven Stores Operator to support our busy logistics function. This role plays a vital part in ensuring materials flow smoothly through the business, from goods in to production and finished goods handling. Key Responsibilities
As a Stores Operator, you will:
• Manage the receipt of incoming materials, ensuring all items are checked, booked into the system, and stored accurately and efficiently.
• Distribute materials, sub assemblies, and finished goods to the correct internal departments using Kanban triggers, Work to Lists, and kitting lists.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping standards within the warehouse, ensuring a clean, safe, and well presented environment at all times.
• Follow all Health & Safety procedures, completing risk assessments and reporting incidents or near misses promptly.
• Work closely with the Cell Coordinator to meet output targets and escalate issues when required.
• Support continuous improvement (CIP) activities using SYNCHRO principles and tools.
• Carry out routine stock control tasks including cycle counting, stock relocation, labelling, and packaging.
• Ensure all material transactions and system updates are completed accurately across all platforms.
• Assist with the movement and packing of finished goods from production lines to the AEO storage area.
• Follow training plans to maintain full skills coverage across the Stores team.

About You
Essential experience and skills:
• Previous experience using ERP systems and/or handheld picking devices.
• Confident IT user, including Microsoft Office and email.
• Self motivated, reliable, and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.

This role is initially for 6 months but with a strong likelihood of extension based upon continued order volumes.

Hours:
8am – 4pm (Monday to Friday)

Pay:
£12.90 per hour rising to £13.21 per hour after 12 weeks have been completed. Overtime rates also available
