Lancaster Arts: Where ideas, people and places connect

We are excited to be recruiting a key member of our team for the delivery of our creative programme this coming spring. You will be at the centre of our public facing programme ensuring that the nuts and bolts of what happens behind the scenes are all working smoothly!

Lancaster Arts is a combined arts organisation within the national portfolio of Arts Council England. This is a fantastic role for someone wanting to strengthen their production skills across all art forms. The role will need a working knowledge of the practical, delivery needs of a public facing arts organisation and an understanding of at least one art form in some depth. It requires enthusiasm, strong relational skills, and a commitment to the arts (across all artforms) and high-quality delivery, with an ability to learn quickly.

Lancaster Arts is a distinctive contemporary arts organisation in the northwest of England with a renowned reputation for cutting edge arts practice in all art forms. Our home is at the heart of the beautiful Lancaster University campus, and our venues include the Great Hall, Nuffield Theatre and Peter Scott Gallery. We regularly host work off campus in the Lancaster District and beyond. We host a wide spectrum of events and participatory opportunities across contemporary theatre, dance, music, visual art, live art, contemporary circus, and comedy, and we work closely with partners locally, regionally, and internationally to achieve this. Please visit our website to learn about more about us.

Lancaster Arts is a friendly small team, but we need to better reflect the rich diversity of the northwest. We are committed to attracting and recruiting more representative candidates, particularly disabled, D/deaf and/or neurodivergent people and those from black, Asian, and ethnically diverse backgrounds and we particularly encourage applications from people in these groups. We will guarantee an interview to disabled candidates who meet all essential criteria. We hope that you will be able to start working with us in March to support our Spring/Summer season.
