Key Duties and Responsibilities:• Work with high standards of accuracy and compliance in line with the Trust policies and procedures following standard operating procedures and identifying areas for improvement.• Assisting with budget holder requests and queries including goods to be returned, ensuring queries are dealt with promptly and effectively.• To respond to finance queries via email, Microsoft teams and over the phone, supporting with the running of the finance helpline as required.• Process orders and invoices for goods and services, using the Finance software.• Process card payments• Attaching documents to the finance system electronically• Monitor budgets in relation to overspend and scheme of delegation.• Ensure all orders are delivered in the agreed timescales, deliveries match the purchase orders and any discrepancies are queried with the supplier.• Process staff and student expenses.• Administer credit card transactions.• Provide routine administrative and organisational support• Assist in ensuring effective procurement practice and ensuring best value principles are met.• To assist with BACS payment runs• Undertake word processing and IT based tasks e.g. Microsoft Office and Office 365• Maintain manual/electronic filing and information systems• Complex data inputting of manual and computerised record/information systems• Able to work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail• Maintain accurate records using relevant systems in line with policy and records management procedures• Attend meetings and undertake duties as required in line with Trust calendar, sharing expertise and supporting others• Provide occasional cover for colleagues in support functions• Assist with the supervision and welfare of pupils, contributing to effective behaviour management in school• Contribute to the development of systems and procedures in the department, support the life of the school and work within theoverall aims and objectives of the school.• Carry out fire marshal or first aid duties if required, with appropriate training.


Training
Foundation covers the basic principles of accountancy, and is your starting point if you’ve never studied accountancy before. You’ll learn the basic principles of accountancy, such as double-entry bookkeeping, costing and preparing financial statements, as well as how to use accountancy software.
This level is ideal if you’re new to accountancy and finance, have previously worked in an accounts department, or are looking to change your career into Accountancy.
To pass this level, you'll be examined on five units. All assessments are computer-based exams (CBE). The area you will cover include:

Bookkeeping transactions.
Bookkeeping controls.
Elements of costing.
Using accounting software.
Foundation Synoptic Assessment.Training will be provided either via classroom or remote sessions. An apprenticeship has to be relevant to the job you are undertaking and you must dedicate 20% of their time towards it.


Qualifications required

3 GCSE's grades 9/A* - 4/C including Maths and English.

Speaking confidently, clearly and politely to a range of audiences.
Writing coherently in emails.
Listening carefully to other to understand their needs.
Following instructions and asking for clarity.
