About the Team
Our Positive Behaviour Support function plays a crucial role in ensuring the people we support experience improved quality of life, reduced restrictive practices, and meaningful progress in their personal goals. The team includes PBS practitioners, PBS Lead practitioners, Practice and operational colleagues who work collaboratively to deliver consistent, high-quality PBS practice. We are a knowledgeable, values‑driven team striving for continuous improvement. We work closely with operational colleagues, families, commissioners and external professionals to ensure excellence in PBS across the organisation.
About the Role
As the Head of Positive Behaviour Support, you will provide strategic leadership, clinical oversight and specialist guidance across the Adult Services directorate. You will shape and deliver our PBS strategy, ensuring best practice is embedded at every level and that our organisation is recognised as a market leader in PBS provision.
You will play a key role in driving innovation, reducing restrictive practice and ensuring high‑quality, personalised support for autistic adults with complex needs.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the development and implementation of the organisation‑wide PBS strategy
- Provide strategic direction and specialist guidance to PBS teams across Adult Services
- Ensure behaviour support plans align with national best practice and evidence‑based models
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience leading high‑quality, consistent Positive Behaviour Support practice
- Skilled in clinical supervision, coaching and developing others
- Confident working collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and external partners

This is a permanent role for 35 hours per week.
