What skills and experience we're looking for
will offer up to 72 secondary places for boys and girls, introduced through a phased build-up over three years. Joining the team at this new site provides a unique opportunity to help shape a brand‑new provision from the ground up, creating a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment for students from day one.
We are looking for compassionate, patient, and proactive Teaching Assistants to join our team at our new satellite site. Working closely with teachers, you will help create a nurturing and inclusive environment where every pupil can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support pupils’ learning and development under the guidance of the class teacher, including one-to-one and small group interventions.
• Promote positive behaviour and social-emotional development, supporting pupils to manage emotions and interact successfully with peers.
• Assist with planning and delivering activities, adapting resources to meet individual needs.
• Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers and contributing to assessment and planning.
• Support the school’s ethos of safety and inclusion, ensuring all pupils feel valued and supported.
Key Requirements:
• Experience working with children, preferably in an SEMH, special needs, or educational setting.
• Demonstrates patience, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills, able to build trusting relationships with pupils.
• Is proactive and flexible, able to adapt to the needs of different pupils and situations.
• Has basic literacy, numeracy, and IT skills, with the ability to support learning across the curriculum.
• Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, understanding the importance of confidentiality and school policies.
