Are you passionate about helping people make meaningful, sustainable changes in their lives? We're looking for a Recovery Coordinator to join a dedicated multi‑disciplinary team in West Sussex, supporting individuals affected by drug and alcohol use.
This is a rewarding, person‑centred role where you'll empower people to build resilience, strengthen their recovery capital and work towards living safe, independent and purposeful lives.
Your new role
As a Recovery Coordinator, you will:
- Hold and manage your own caseload of service users
- Complete assessments, risk assessments and personalised recovery plans
- Provide 1:1 key working using motivational and trauma‑informed approaches
- Coordinate psycho‑social interventions, harm reduction and clinical support
- Make timely referrals to internal teams and external partner agencies
- Support access to peer support, mutual aid and community‑based recovery groups
- Maintain accurate, compliant case records and contribute to service reporting
- Work collaboratively with clinicians, partner services, peer mentors and families
- Support day‑to‑day service activity such as duty cover, reception and needle exchange (training provided)
What you'll need to succeed
Essential:
- Experience supporting people affected by substance use, mental health or similar complex needs
- Strong communication and rapport‑building skills
- Ability to manage a busy caseload independently and meet deadlines
- Confident working within multi‑agency settings
- Knowledge of safeguarding, risk management and harm reduction
- Strong organisational skills and IT literacy
- Commitment to equality, inclusion and person‑centred practice
Desirable:
- Experience in mental health support
- Understanding of recovery communities and community‑based interventions
