Summary

Job Title: Estimator
Salary: £30,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday - 8-5pm or 8:30-5:30pm - 1 hour lunch break
Contract: Full time, permanent office based
Location: Hoddesdon

Job Purpose
The Estimator will support the Specification and Export Managers by analysing project plans and preparing accurate, competitive, and profitable quotations, pictorials, and order documentation. The role requires close collaboration with internal departments and factories to ensure samples, project information, and orders are delivered accurately and on time.
The Estimator will be responsible for managing detailed project information, coordinating call-off schedules, and overseeing delivery arrangements. This will involve effective communication with factories, the Transport Team, and the Buying Department to ensure customer and project requirements are met efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities
·Work closely with the Specification and Export Managers to prepare detailed quotations and pictorials in line with customer specifications and project requirements.
·Prepare and process customer documentation, including sales orders and proformas, ensuring accuracy in product details, pricing, and quantities.
·Manage and maintain project call-off schedules, coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
·Liaise with the Transport Team to arrange, monitor, and track project deliveries.
·Log, maintain, and update comprehensive project details, ensuring all information is accurate and up to date.
·Provide regular and timely updates to managers and customers regarding project status, deliveries, and lead times.
·Assist with technical and sales-related enquiries as required.
·Support the team with ad hoc administrative and specification tasks, including sales order processing.

Experience & Skills
·Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy when preparing quotations and documentation.
·Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
·Ability to interpret technical information and project specifications.
·Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, as well as order processing systems.
·Highly organised with strong time management and multitasking abilities.
·Ability to work to deadlines and perform effectively under pressure.
·Previous experience in an estimating, sales support, or technical administration role is preferred; however, training will be provided for the right candidate.
·GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths are required.
