About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Administrator / Accounts Clerk / Bookkeeper to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring precise bookkeeping. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in financial administration, a strong understanding of accounting principles, and proficiency in accounting software.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Process and record financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and ledgers.
- Prepare and reconcile bank statements and financial reports.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
- Collaborate with the finance team to streamline and improve financial processes.
- Respond to inquiries related to financial transactions and records.
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and information as required.
- Perform other administrative tasks as needed to support the finance department.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience Needed:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; relevant certifications (e.g., AAT) are a plus.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in financial administration, bookkeeping, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Salary Package:
Competitive salary range of £32600-£39600 based on experience and qualifications.
