Summary
Driving licence needed
This is a domicilairy care job not a care home so you will be visiting/travelling to clients at their homes.
To support service users with getting up, including washing or bathing and dressing and
preparing for the day ahead.
• To support with personal grooming, hair and mouth care.
• To support with toileting and continence needs, this may involve continence aids, commodes
and catheters.
• To support with preparation of meals and drinks, including feeding if required ensuring good
nutrition and hydration is maintained.
• To carry out basic domestic tasks to ensure that the service user’s home is left clean and tidy.
• To carry out bed making and changing.
• To support with getting undressed and preparing for or going to bed.
• To support with mobility and manual handling needs as assessed and documented.
• To support and engage with service users in social activities, hobbies and pastimes.
• To support with physical health needs.
• To support with prescribed medication.
• To support with emotional well-being.
• To ensure that at all times the service user is supported and encouraged to maintain
independence and control.
• To keep accurate records and maintain the confidentiality of service user information.
• To ensure that any changes or concerns relating to service users are reported to the manager.
• To comply with organisational policies and procedures and relevant law and legislation,
including the CQC Fundamental Standards to ensure the safety and well being of service users
and self.
• To work in partnership with other health care professionals, including GP’s and District Nurses.
• To attend training, supervision and meetings as required for personal support and
development.
