HGV Technician – Southampton Area
Family-Run Independent Workshop | Monday–Friday Only
We’re working with a well-established, family-run independent business in the Southampton area who are looking to add an experienced HGV Technician to their friendly and close-knit team.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a stable, supportive working environment, sensible hours, and a workshop where people genuinely enjoy coming to work.
The Role:
• Inspection, servicing and maintenance of HGVs
• MOT preparation and general repairs
• Working on air brake systems, suspension, and associated components
• Mostly HGV work with minimal LCV involvement
• Maintaining high standards of safety and workmanship
What We’re Looking For:
• Proven HGV Technician experience (essential)
• Confident carrying out inspections, servicing and repairs independently
• Reliable, team-focused, and takes pride in their work
• Positive attitude — you’ll be joining a friendly, supportive team
What’s on Offer:
• Salary from £18 per hour (depending on experience)
• 40-hour working week
• Monday to Friday 7:00am – 4:00pm
• Overtime paid at time and a half (weekdays only)
• No Saturday working
• 20 days holiday + bank holidays
• On-site parking
• A relaxed, respectful workplace with a genuine family-business feel
