The University Nursery offers facilities for children aged between 10 weeks and 5 years, the nursery is divided into sections appropriate to the ages and development of the children. We are committed to providing a professional, customer focused service to a diverse range of people.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, driven, reliable and capable of providing highly efficient and effective service to customers. Reporting to the Manager, this role will have a degree of autonomy, and exercise a high level of judgement regarding the operation of the Nursery Service at Cardiff University.

The Section Leader is responsible for the care of a group of children, within a certain age group, and the supervision of Nursery Nurses and Nursery Assistants.

This post is fixed term for 6 months (maternity cover), 37.5 hours per week , 5 out of 7 days. The hours will be determined by the Line Manager so that the centre is staffed from 8.00am - 6.00pm. This 37.5 hour contract also attracts an uplift for hours 35 - 37.5.

Starting Salary: £25,449 per annum (Grade 3)

This is a campus based role.
