Summary


Are you looking for an exciting and varied job providing rehabilitation to patients in the community following Stroke?

As an Associate Practitioner, training will be offered to develop your abilities within Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech therapy and Nursing provision within Stroke

An opportunity has become available for a motivated individual to join the Hull and East Riding Stroke Service as a Generic Associate Practitioner. This service provides specialist assessment and rehabilitation to Stroke Survivors living in the Hull and East Riding area.

You will need effective interpersonal skills and be flexible in your approach.

Core Hours are 0800 to 1800, with a typical working day being 0800 to 1600 Monday to Friday, however, there is the opportunity to work condensed hours to enable a more flexible working pattern. Weekend working is a part of the role and usually works out around 1 in 8 weekends

We offer rehabilitation in the community in the patient’s own home. You will be responsible for delivering individual rehabilitation programs, using a goal setting approach. You will have previous relevant experience of working within a rehabilitation setting. You will be supported by the Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Speech and Language Therapists.

The Hull and East Riding Community Stroke Service has a strong focus on clinical governance and provides a supportive framework for further learning including Stroke based competencies. This post is key to the performance of the team, and your drive and enthusiasm will help support the success of the service.
