Summary
About the role
Responsible for managing inventory accuracy and operational efficiency within the Distribution Centre. Key duties include:
- Oversee inventory accuracy and system health, reporting gaps and managing clerical routines.
- Analyze demand and risks in the Distribution Centre, root cause issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Manage stock control, PI counts, adjustments, replenishment levels, and layout planning for efficiency.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain and Operations on space planning, new lines, and contingency plans for outages.
- Lead compliance processes, shrink meetings, supplier queries, and ensure accurate reporting of KPIs and adjustments.
You will be responsible for
- I set up the gap\'s logs for the clerical team, and report the gaps to the GM ensuring they are aware of all mark outs on their Depot
- My Team carry out system health checks resolving issues and completing any next steps.
- My Team investigate where the demand is in the Distribution Centre and what the potential risks are, root causing the reasons and identifying the risk and cost to One Stop
- I ensure the Stock team PI the locations needed and this is up-to-date, checking the status and amount, ensuring all adjustments are root-caused and managing the layout to free up any selects.
- I check the demand on stock to see if a multi-pick is needed and the height of the replenishment levels to see if they are set to the correct level.
- I review the number of outstanding pallets and multi-pick locations.
- I discuss and manage any layout changes with the Distribution Centre Manager and Ops Manager
- I manage and review new lines, making sure they are sited to ensure service to the customer, checking locations are set at an acceptable level
- I plan ahead for system outages and design contingency plans for unplanned outages, so Distribution Centre operational impact is kept to a minimum.
- I review space availability by category implementing any necessary action with Supply Chain Team
- I manage any non-conformance supplier queries, abnormal deliveries, and monitor inbound standards, ensuring the detail is keyed onto the database by a stock team colleague.
- I manage the Emergency Product Withdrawal (EPW) process logging and ensuring all required action is completed.
- My Team ensure all outstanding deliveries are chased and resolved, communicating any issues or outstanding next steps to the next shift.
- When required, I set up/attend the stock and shrink meeting, focusing on the top 10 loss and gain products.
- My Team ensure supplier damages are recorded at the time of delivery and not scanned in. If products are scanned, they need to be adjusted off and charged back to supplier.
- I complete a health check of the recoup process ensuring the correct ways of working are followed
- Ensure that all shrink meetings are completed in the correct timelines with Next Steps and Lead by the DCM offering support where possible and linking in with the Security Business Partner.
I ensure the clerical team complete all start and end of day routines, communicate issues to the GM and update the required reports
- I hold a Weekly Stock Meeting with each Site updating the team on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and discussing any areas of concern, updates and next steps.
- My Team root cause all adjustments over 10 and ensure root cause information is ready for discussion at the meetings .
- My Team provide a list of all adjustments with the root cause over 10 to the GM.
- I review the top 10 write off and recoup adjustments weekly to ensure compliance, checking the stock count (PI) adjustments.
- Ensure the recoup team are following the correct recoup process and stock is being recorded for write off or too stores correctly, and that the 3rd party hygiene team are reporting damages correctly
