Are you an existing highly specialist (Band 7) Speech and Language Therapist looking for a change, or an experienced senior (Band 6) ready for the next step working with adults? We are looking for a dedicated Speech & Language Therapist who is passionate about ENT/ Voice services to join the service, who is able to deliver complex care compassionately to meet individual needs. An open discussion about the contract hours and opportunities would be welcomed.

Providing specialist assessment and therapy, this role is predominantly based in an out-patient setting, with possibly some in-patient work on the wards within Arrowe Park Hospital if required due to skill level. The out-patient service supports individuals with benign and functional ENT voice disorders, upper airway disorders including ILO, chronic cough, ENT dysphagia and tracheostomy. Referrals for gender affirming voice therapy tend to go to the regional service.

The post-holder will have well-established dysphagia skills with awareness of assessment and therapy programmes for voice, upper airway, and swallowing disorders.

A recognised qualification in Speech & Language Therapy and HCPC registration is required, along with membership of the Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists.

The post involves provision of assessment, treatment and advice to adults with communication difficulties as part of the ENT service.

Within the team we will provide:

A strong support network for both clinical work and wellbeing within a well established and experienced team. specific support for complex clinical cases and general support will be via a Network approach.
