Summary
The post holder will be required to have completed their general surgical and specialist breast training and be on the specialist register (or within six months of completion) however further experience at consultant level or a dedicated fellowship is highly desirable. Excellent reconstructive skills are essential. The post holder should be able to demonstrate their leadership abilities and dedication to quality improvement. The candidate should be ready to work in a high volume 2WW clinic, supervising more junior colleagues at an appropriate pace. The unit regularly involves itself in national trials. The candidate should show a willingness to participate in future trials, and evidence of research training and participation. This team is a highly integrated multidisciplinary team, which prides itself on excellent relationships and high-quality patient communication. The post holder will need to demonstrate the ability to work closely with all colleagues and show their ability to maintain excellent working relationships with patients and staff at all levels.
