Crynodeb

A busy riding school and livery yard looking to take on 2 apprentices, either riding grooms or non-riding grooms. They are also looking for candidates who may be open to the idea of becoming an instructor to do some teaching and training. They are an ABRS approved yard, and very busy, with a variety of opportunities for an apprentice to get involved in.The employer has competition horses, and also compete, so need an apprentice who is enthusiastic, willing to learn and looking for a long term career in the equine sector.


Training
All training will be provided on site during your paid working hours. Your day to day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach.

Qualifications required
You must not already hold a qualification in Equine Studies at Level 2 or above, as this will make you ineligible for the apprenticeship. If you do not already have qualifications in maths and/ or English, Haddon Training will support you in gaining Functional Skills qualifications at level 1 or 2.

Skills required
You must have some basic equine skills to be successful in this application.

Prospects
A long term role on the yard, with progression to the level 3 Senior Equine Groom apprenticeship. As they are an ABRS approved centre, there will also be the opportunity to do the ABRS exams.
