Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and organised Administrator to join our team at Church House, Hove. This is an exciting opportunity to support Focal Ministry—a pioneering approach to church leadership that is central to our Diocesan Growth Strategy. You will also work closely with the HR team to deliver efficient recruitment and training administration across the diocese.

This role is offered on a 4-year fixed term basis.

In this role, you will:

• Provide administrative support to the Focal Ministry Officer.
• Co-ordinate training pathways for Children, Youth & Families workers and Focal Ministers.
• Support diocesan recruitment processes, ensuring Safer Recruitment standards are met.

What We’re Looking for:

• Proven experience as an administrator in a busy office environment.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships.
• Confident in using MS Office and managing electronic records.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• In sympathy with the aims and ethos of the Church of England.
• Experience with recruitment processes and training administration is essential.
• Familiarity with Church of England structures and a CIPD Level 3 qualification are desirable.

• A salary of £27,066 per annum
• Flexi-time and hybrid working. The role is based at Church House, Hove with the opportunity to apply to use the DBF’s remote working policy to work from home for part of the week.

• 28 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays and an additional 2 privilege days leave per year
