The Opportunity
We are looking for an ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified International Management Accountant with payroll experience to join our purpose-driven organisation.

The Role
As an International Management Accountant, you will deliver accurate financial reporting, robust controls and compliance across multiple international entities.
Working closely with finance colleagues across FDB UK, FDB Inc and the wider Hearst organisation, you’ll lead month-end close activities, manage intercompany accounting and ensure financial statements are produced accurately and to deadlines.
You’ll also play a central role in payroll processing, tax compliance and maintaining strong financial governance across regions, liaising regularly with US-based teams and external auditors.
Alongside core reporting and compliance, you’ll contribute insight to forecasting and budgeting, oversee procure-to-pay processes and help strengthen financial systems.
Additionally, you will:
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain clear supporting documentation
- Manage VAT and Sales Tax returns, reconciliations and accounting entries
- Oversee global procure-to-pay activities, vendor management and purchasing cards
- Support internal and external audits, working with auditors, tax advisers and regulators
About You
To be considered as an International Management Accountant, you will need:
- To be a qualified ACA, CIMA or ACCA accountant
- Experience of UK and US GAAP
- Experience of running a payroll within the UK, and ideally within the US
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting and monthly reporting cycles
- Experience in using AI environments, i.e. Copilot and ChatGPT
- Confidence in consolidating multiple accounts and developing financial planning templates and models
You will need to have familiarity with methods of cost control, margin analysis and KPIs, be skilled at identifying financial statements and analysing data and have a strong working knowledge of Excel and financial systems.
