Crynodeb
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual to join the Trust's team of Enhanced Clinical Practitioners within the trauma department. At present the Poole Hospital site of UHD is the trauma centre for East Dorset, though this will be moving to the Bournemouth site in the Summer of 2026 and sees one of the highest number of fractured neck of femur admissions in the country therefore an interest in elderly trauma patients would be an advantage. The trauma and orthopaedic ambulatory care unit (TOACU) is also presently situated on the Poole site to help with the same day emergency care of our trauma patients.
The post holder will initially be expected to work closely with the trauma medical team, TAC team, ward teams and the orthogeriatric team, as well as with other members of the multi-professional team. They will be required to rapidly and continuously evaluate the patient’s changing condition and responses to a range of pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapeutic interventions and will modify plans of care for optimal patient outcome.
If you are an established or newly qualified Enhanced Clinical Practitioner with experience in Trauma, is self motivated, and possesses excellent communication and clinical skills then we welcome an application from you to join our team.
