Part-time Activities Coordinator. Manor Park Care Home
Hours: 20 hours per week
Salary: £12.36 per hour
Shift Pattern: 10am-4pm 4 days per week, including alternate weekend working
Based in the heart of Malton and newly opened, Manor Park Care Home is a brand-new, purpose-built facility offering exceptional residential, nursing, and dementia care. We are now seeking a creative and compassionate Activities Coordinator to join our opening team and help shape a meaningful and enriching lifestyle programme for our residents.
Key Responsibilities.
As an Activities Coordinator, you will play a key role in enhancing the wellbeing and quality of life of our residents through engaging, person-centred activities. You’ll design and deliver a varied programme that promotes physical, emotional, and social wellbeing.
Plan and lead a diverse range of activities including arts and crafts, music, games, gardening, exercise sessions, and themed events.
Build strong relationships with residents to understand their interests, preferences, and abilities.
Organise special events such as birthday celebrations, seasonal parties, and visits from entertainers.
Support residents living with dementia through tailored sensory and cognitive activities.
Coordinate outings and community engagement opportunities.
Maintain accurate records of participation and feedback to continuously improve the activity programme.
Work collaboratively with care staff and families to ensure activities are inclusive and meaningful.
What We’re Looking For
Previous experience in an activities or lifestyle role, ideally within a care home or healthcare setting.
A warm, engaging personality with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Creativity and enthusiasm for planning and delivering varied activities.
Understanding of the needs of older adults, including those living with dementia.
Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and occasional evenings for special events.
