An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Safeguarding Unit for the post of a full-time Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO).
Independent Reviewing Officer
Working Hours: 36 hours per week
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: £50,269- £53,460

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a full time, Independent Reviewing Officer within Salford’s Safeguarding Children and Quality Assurance Unit, based at Unity House, Swinton.
The post holder will carry a caseload which meets the specifications recommended in the IRO handbook and will be expected to be proactive in their responsibilities towards ensuring the best outcomes for the children and young people in Salford they are responsible for.

Prospective candidates will be social work qualified and will demonstrate substantial experience in work with children and families, including looked after children, care proceedings and child protection, as a practitioner and in some kind of supervisory capacity.
