Teaching Assistant
Join our welcoming school community in Cranleigh as a Teaching Assistant. You will play a key role in supporting lessons, working closely with pupils who have additional needs, and helping with the smooth running of classroom and school routines.

Key Responsibilities:
* Small classes of 8-13 students, grouped by ability and social needs rather than age.
* Support with core subjects (literacy, numeracy, PSHE) and daily living skills.
* Helping students communicate using Makaton, signs, symbols or communication aids through a multi-sensory approach.
* Providing guidance when students feel anxious, emotional or frustrated and supporting them to manage their feelings and behaviour.
* Working as part of a skilled, dedicated and supportive team with comprehensive training and mentoring.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A patient, caring and positive attitude
- A valid DBS check or willingness to obtain one
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience working with children in a school setting
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or working with children is desirable
