Francis Askew Primary School requires a Level 2 Teaching Assistant who will be innovative, creative and excited about empowering children to make rapid progress in their learning and has experience supporting children with special educational needs.
Salary: Grade 4, Point 5 £25,583 - Point 7 £26,403 (Pro rata) for 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.30am - 3.30pm term time only (38 weeks per year). This is a fixed term contract until 31 August 2026.
We need a Teaching Assistant who will thrive in a school which puts children at its heart. Francis Askew is a school where staff’s professional development is high on the agenda. The school has developed an innovative curriculum which ensures children are making swift progress and gaps are being closed. • Has a proven track record of effectively supporting children across the curriculum
• Has knowledge and understanding of how children learn
• Has knowledge and experience in delivering the Read Write Inc programme
• Has experience of supporting children with SEND, particularly social emotional mental health needs
• Has experience of speech and language interventions
• Can build effective working relationships with parents / carers
• Is committed to and passionate about high quality learning experiences for children
• Is ready to learn as part of a team and be challenged to become the best they can be.
