Summary

Hold a supportive role in promoting good professional safeguarding practice within the Safeguarding Team at STSFT. To be a highly visible Safeguarding Nurse / Safeguarding Officer and support the Safeguarding Advisor and Named Nurse Safeguarding Adults (and wider safeguarding team across STSFT) in providing advice and support regarding safeguarding within the Trust. To support the Safeguarding Advisor in ensuring all staff have access to safeguarding training and supervision appropriate to their role, enabling the organisation to fulfil its statutory responsibilities for training. Support with collection and collating of audit data. To support and facilitate in the delivery of safeguarding group supervision for staff. Support the Safeguarding Advisor / Named Nurses and other members of the team with statutory, voluntary, and healthcare agencies groups such as Multi-Agency Public Protection Agency (MAPPA) requests, Prevent requests, Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC) and Missing Sexually Exploited and Trafficked (MSET) / Partnership Reduction Exploitation and Missing (PREM) research including attendance at local meetings. Support the MCA/DoLS Advisor with Mental Capacity Assessment (MCA) and Deprivation of Liberty (DoLS) advice and support to STSFT staff.
