We are looking for an enthusiastic clinician with an interest in head and neck surgery to contribute to delivering the highest standards of care. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring patients referred with suspected head and neck cancer and seen and managed in a timely and appropriate fashion and will support the team in delivering the faster diagnosis standard for head and neck cancer referrals.
In addition, they will receive a broad-based training in the full spectrum of benign and oncological head and neck surgery, with additional opportunities for exposure to sinonasal, skin cancer, and / or endocrine neck surgery, dependent upon their prior experience, training needs, and subspecialty interests
Please note that this role is a 12 months FTC with a proposed start date of 05/08/2026
Duties and responsibilities will include:
1. Support the smooth and efficient running of the diagnostic head and neck pathway
2. Promotion of (and participation in) teaching and supervision within the department
3. Flexible cover for the clinical commitments of the department
4. To be active in research and to continue to maintain and update his or her professional knowledge
5. To fulfil all the general conditions applying to employees of at Epsom & St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust
