Would you like to be part of a service which is innovative, forward-thinking and committed to enabling people who are experiencing eating disorders to recover and discover their potential?

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the East All Age Eating Disorder Service for a team leader! We are looking for someone who is interested in working in this specialist field and who is committed to providing the very highest standard of patient care, joining a team of highly motivated and dynamic clinicians. Existing experience in eating disorders across the age range is desirable but not essential, however, a keen interest to develop knowledge and skills in this field and a strong desire to help service users and families is vital.

Please note: This post is subject to an enhanced DBS Clearance. As part of the pre-employment checks, successful candidates will be required to pay for their own DBS check at a cost of £50. Deductions will be taken from the first 3 months’ salary.

To lead, operationally and clinically manage a Community Eating Disorder multi-disciplinary team in a defined geographical area.

To enable a culture of staff, user participation and engagement.

To be accountable for the effective delivery of the allocate locality team.

To facilitate effective delivery of the all age model of Eating Disorder using evidence based practice, promote, maintain and improve the mental health and psychological wellbeing of children and Adults.

Ensure the team safeguards children and vulnerable adults.

Ensure the team meets and evidences achievement against key performance indicators.

To develop and maintain robust partnership working arrangements.

To maintain clinical competence through clinical activities.

To lead on an agreed portfolio that cuts across the sub-service line.

Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.

The Trust also provides a range of physical health and well-being services in the community alongside a range of partners in the Lancashire, Cumbria and Sefton area.
