Are you ready for a truly rewarding challenge? We’re thrilled to invite an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Assertive Outreach Team as Clinical Lead (Band 8a). This is your chance to make a real difference for adults with complex and severe mental health needs. You’ll lead and inspire a talented OT team, provide advanced clinical leadership, and support those who find it hardest to engage with traditional services.

You’ll be at the heart of quality improvement, clinical audit, and research, working closely with multi-disciplinary colleagues and external partners to shape innovative OT pathways and service strategy. If you’re passionate about evidence-based practice, love sharing your expertise, and enjoy variety—including travel across the county and flexible working—this is the perfect opportunity for you.

Please note for this role you will be required to travel independently around the county meeting strict time deadlines. You will need to hold a full UK driving licence* and have use of a vehicle. You cannot use public transport for this role as this is not a reliable form of transport and will not allow you to meet service needs. Please confirm in your application that you meet the specified criteria.

• We’re searching for a dynamic, compassionate Occupational Therapist with a wealth of post-registration experience, including senior roles in mental health. You’ll bring advanced clinical reasoning, leadership, and motivational skills, and a genuine commitment to learning, research, and service innovation. If you thrive in a supportive, multi-disciplinary team and want to empower both staff and service users, we want to hear from you.
• We are looking for a Clinical Leader who can develop and shape the clinical pathway between AO and our Adult Locality teams. This individual will be responsible for the professional management of the OTs working across the two services. These services include children's, adult and older people's mental health, forensic and specialist mental health, learning disabilities, primary care and liaison psychiatry, substance misuse, social care, research and development.

To achieve our goal, we look to recruit high-calibre candidates who share our vision and values. As an equal opportunities employer, we encourage applications from all sectors of the community, particularly from under-represented groups including people with long term conditions and members of our ethnic minority and LGBTQ+ communities.

Regrettably, we cannot offer sponsorship for all our job roles. If you apply for a role that we cannot offer sponsorship for, unfortunately, your application form will be rejected from the process.
