We are seeking a passionate Teacher of Food Preparation & Nutrition to join our Technology department and help pupils develop practical skills, nutritional understanding and a lifelong appreciation for food, health and wellbeing.
The Role
As a Teacher of Food Preparation & Nutrition, you will:
Deliver engaging, well‑sequenced practical and theory lessons
Teach a curriculum that builds pupils’ confidence, independence and creativity
Promote high standards of hygiene, safety and organisation in all practical work
Support pupils to understand nutrition, sustainability, food provenance and healthy lifestyles
Use assessment effectively to identify misconceptions, close gaps and secure strong progress
Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including SEND and vulnerable pupils
Contribute to curriculum development, moderation and departmental improvement
Build positive, respectful relationships that help pupils thrive
Play an active role in the wider life of the academy
