Manufacturing Team Leader
DC Personnel are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Team Leader to join a busy manufacturing and packaging operation.
Location: Leicester
Contract: Permanent role
Hours: 37 hours per week. Monday - Thursday: 13:30 – 22:00 & Friday: 12:00 – 17:00
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Shift Allowance: £70 per week (paid in addition to base salary)
Overview of the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and supervision of production and packaging activities within a regulated manufacturing environment.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong knowledge of compliance standards, team management skills, and the ability to coordinate production activities efficiently.
Key Responsibilities :
Supervise the manufacture and packaging of licensed products using dedicated production equipment
Oversee the use and operation of production vessels and equipment
Review and complete batch records to a high standard
Lead, motivate, and manage a team of operators (up to 8 staff)
Coordinate and deliver staff training and development
Generate, review, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Coordinate production activities and liaise with support functions including materials management, engineering, and quality teams
Manage team performance, including appraisals, mentoring, and feedback
What you will have:
Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (GMP or similar)
Proven line management or supervisory experience
Ability to work on own initiative and escalate issues as appropriate
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Confident, organised, and capable of leading a small production team
