We are working closely alongside with a local authority in Worcestershire to assist with the appointment of a Care Assistant on a 2.5-months contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £12.45- £16.06 per hour
Summary:
The Care Assistant (Support Worker) provides essential care and support to adults with various care needs to help them achieve maximum independence. Operating within a "Can Do Culture," the post holder is responsible for delivering high-quality, responsive services that uphold the dignity, rights, and choices of every individual. This frontline role involves both personal care and social support, requiring a proactive individual who can work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team while maintaining a safe and supportive atmosphere.
Responsibilities:
Assist people using the service with physical tasks, including dressing, washing, bathing, and assistance with meals.
Encourage and assist individuals or groups with social and therapeutic activities offered by the service
Enter clear and accurate details of incidents and events in appropriate records and provide verbal reports to senior staff before leaving duty
Update and maintain care plans and risk assessments in collaboration with senior staff and the individuals using the service.
Undertake duties in accordance with the Directorates Health and Safety Policy, including safe lifting and moving following appropriate training
Essentials:
Previous experience working in a residential or community care setting with people with disabilities.
Understanding of health and safety issues, risk assessments, and care planning within a care setting.
Ability to deal with the mental demands of working with vulnerable adults, which can be emotionally challenging
