At Dimensions, every day is a chance to make a real difference. Guided by courage and ambition, we promise you purpose in your work, pride in your impact, and support to grow. Together, we'll create lives filled with joy, independence, and unforgettable experiences.
Because when every day matters, the work we do truly changes lives.
About the role
- Support Worker
- Part time - 30 Hours Per Week
- £13.85 per hour.
You'll be joining a residential home in Hounslow, supporting seven adults (four ladies and three gentlemen) aged between 20-55, all with complex health needs. Six people communicate in ways other than words and thrive when staff bring positivity, animation, and lots of interaction.
This is a physically active support role. You'll be helping people get ready for their day, be sociable, and take part in the things they love from music therapy to swimming, from day trips to cinema outings, and regular visits to the high street, shops, library, and social clubs. The home itself is a happy, engaging place to work, where staff contribute to creating a fun, uplifting atmosphere.
You will be supporting with full personal care, including showering, bathing, hoisting, and supporting two people who use moulded wheelchairs, which are heavier and require confident, safe handling. Six of the seven people are hoisted using slings, and one lady is PEG-fed. Staff also prepare meals, support with pureed food, and participate in general household tasks such as cooking, mopping, cleaning, and laundry.
The Shift patterns are 7am - 2:30pm, 2pm - 9:30pm and occasional long days 7am - 9:30pm with alternate weekends (both days).
The home is commutable via the Piccadilly Line with nearby stations including Hounslow Central, Hounslow East, and Hounslow West, making your travel to work simple and reliable for those using public transport.
About you
You will bring experience supporting people with complex physical needs and feel confident supporting with full personal care in a calm, respectful and dignified way. Because the role involves frequent hoisting, pushing wheelchairs over long distances, and assisting with moulded chairs and standing frames, you'll be attentive to safety, and always aware of each person's comfort and wellbeing.
This home thrives on energy, warmth, and communication. You'll be someone who naturally interacts, engages, and helps create a lively, joyful place to live. Being patient, adaptable, emotionally intelligent and values-driven will help you flourish here and help the people you support to flourish too.
