Role includes: Development of paediatric peri-operative spinal service Targeted pre-operative holistic medical review alongside anaesthetic colleagues and other specialist teams as part of existing pre-assessment pathway Active involvement in discussion and decision making as to whether and when surgery is in best interests of child and family Specialist medical input into the optimisation of patients medically pre-surgery Active participation in Spinal MDT meetings Leading on the development of inpatient guidelines, education and training To provide general paediatric services to the Guys and St Thomas Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
