An exciting opportunity has arisen for the right candidate to join our Parkinson's team .
We would welcome all band 6 nurses with transferable skills who have a specific interest in Parkinson's and other movement disorders.
Our Parkinson's team provide excellent clinical management to people with Parkinson's and other related neurological conditions. We work to deliver multidisciplinary evidence based practice that improves outcomes for patients and their carers, providing strategies and interventions to achieve goals and embed self management. Through out all sites in the trust.

• Provide skilled and knowledgeable care and advice to patients and their carers.
• Complete assessments , planning , implementing and evaluating direct care to patients.
• Work collaboratively with all members of the multidisciplinary team.
• Contribute to the high quality Parkinson's service with in Northumbria trust.

Our Parkinson's team provide excellent clinical management to people with Parkinson's and other related neurological conditions. • Clinical management of a caseload of patients with Parkinson’s Disease and provision of information and support to their relatives and carers for a defined geographical area
• In collaboration with the multidisciplinary team participate in assessing and planning, implementing and evaluating programmes of care for patients with Parkinson’s.
• Promote development of evidence-based practice.
• Work within multidisciplinary/interagency working.
• Contribute to nurse led clinics/medical clinics and telephone support line for patients with Parkinson’s and their carers.
• Work within allocated resources.
• Participate in the delivery of multidisciplinary education and training programmes.
• Provide knowledge and expertise to support nursing staff, therapists, students and junior doctors.
• Initiate and participate in research and audit as necessary to role
• Participate in ongoing development of services.
