Work Placement Officer

Hull

Working Hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Salary: £24,532

Annual Leave: 31 days per annum (excluding bank holidays and up to 3 additional discretionary days over the Christmas/New Year period)

As our Work Placement Officer , you will arrange and monitor the progress of full-time students on industry placements. Working in a team, sourcing learners, pre-screening and facilitating pre-interview preparation for all vacancies to ensure a high-quality placement service is provided in order to support learners and businesses for mutual success.

Responsibilities of our Work Placement Officer


Arrange and monitor extended work placements for full time students
Manage an agreed caseload of learners with minimum supervision to agreed timescales and standards.
Responsible for risk assessments and Health and Safety issues that may relate to students within the workplace.
Support tutors in the visiting schedule for all students.
Assist in the administration with the recording of work placement activities.
Promote the College’s curriculum programmes to employers and prospective learners.
Attend internal and external meetings and events and report on learner progress.
Maintain auditable records and record progress of learners on Pro Monitor


What we’re looking for in our Work Placement Officer :


Practical experience working in early years settings, schools, colleges, or youth work and assessing experience.
Understanding of T Levels and industry placements requirements (e.g., safeguarding, placement hours, employer engagement).
Experience in liaising with employers and supporting students in finding and completing placements.
