About the Role
We are seeking adaptable, patient, and proactive SEN TAs who can support pupils with a range of needs, including:
- Autism (ASD)
- ADHD
- Social, emotional, and behavioural needs
- Communication and sensory differences
You will be working 1:1 or supporting small groups, helping pupils regulate, engage, and access learning throughout the school day.
Essential Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
- Experience supporting SEN pupils, particularly those with challenging behaviours
- Minimum Grade C/Level 4 in GCSE English and Maths
- A calm, resilient, and empathetic approach
- A genuine passion for supporting children with diverse needs
Primary Teaching Assistant - Key Duties
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting pupils with their learning, wellbeing, and emotional regulation
- Assisting the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom routines
- Delivering targeted interventions in literacy, numeracy, and communication
- Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive social interaction
- Helping maintain a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment
- Providing feedback to teachers and contributing to pupil progress
- Upholding safeguarding and behaviour expectations at all times
