Support Students to Thrive in a Mainstream Secondary School
Long Term Futures is recruiting a Teaching Assistant for a welcoming mainstream secondary school in Nottingham. The school is inclusive, well organised and committed to helping every student access learning and feel confident in school.
You'll be supporting pupils across KS3 and KS4, working 1:1 and in small groups to build engagement, confidence and progress. The successful candidate will also provide support to students with special educational needs. The school is easily accessible via public transport, making it a great option for commuters.
The Role
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEN
- Support students with focus, confidence and access to learning in lessons
- Deliver targeted interventions and structured support sessions when required
- Promote positive behaviour and help students develop strong routines
- Work closely with teachers, SEN staff and pastoral teams to meet individual needs
- Help create a calm, inclusive learning environment
Who We're Looking For
- Experience as a Teaching Assistant or working with children/young people with SEN
- Calm, patient and consistent approach
- Confident building relationships and supporting behaviour positively
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
