Pay Rate: £13.05 per hour
Working Hours: 37 per week Monday–Friday 6:30am–2:30pm- Friday finish 2pm- ongoing temporary work
SWIFT Temps Ltd is currently recruiting Refuse Collectors / Street Scene Operatives on behalf of the local authority in the Rotherham S66 area.
This role involves the collection and disposal or recycling of household and commercial waste, as well as general street scene duties such as litter picking and bin emptying. If you are physically fit, reliable, and enjoy working outdoors as part of a team, this could be the role for you.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collecting and moving waste containers (bags, wheelie bins, recycling bins/boxes)
• Operating bin lifting mechanisms on refuse vehicles
• Loading plastic waste bags into the lorry
• Litter picking and street cleaning duties
• Sorting recyclables at the kerbside
• Maintaining polite and professional conduct with members of the public
• Reporting any issues with waste collection
• Assisting with unloading waste at designated facilities
• Report issues like fly tipping and potholes
• Assist with container delivery and vehicle safety
• Outdoor working in all weathers
